Developing Future Artists
AN INCUBATOR FOR TALENT: HGO identifies and trains the next generation of gifted artistic, creative, and leadership talent who will create opera’s future. The Sarah and Ernest Butler Houston Grand Opera Studio is one of the most sought-after training programs in the world among talented young artists. Butler studio members receive the training and tools they need to develop their already wonderful gifts as they launch their careers. Butler Studio alumna Tamara Wilson, one of the most recognizable sopranos in opera, shares, “There was no career before HGO. Full stop.”
